Fritz Kalkbrenner builds his music on the sound legacy of the mid 90ies East Berlin. His formula of using in recordings and live performances his own voice creates a special blend of melodic house music enjoyed by festival crows and clubbers all around the world, on the stages of Rock am Ring, Melt or Tomorrowland.

He made his musical debut behind a microphone in 2003, adding vocals to “Forms & Shapes” by his friend Sascha Funke, while in 2008 his voice made “Sky & Sand”, the track composed by his brother Paul Kalkbrenner, a worldwide anthem and the musical anchor of the cult classic movie “Berlin Calling”.
He joined the Berlin based record label SUOL in 2010 with the intention to create his own blend of soulful and deep electronic house music. After a couple of 12inchs, his debut album “Here Today Gone Tomorrow” was released the same year and got him great feedback from media and fans highlighting tunes like “Facing the Sun” or “Kings in Exile”. With critically acclaimed remixes by Henrik Schwarz or Booka Shade he went further on in his career delivering his second album “Sick Travellin’”. With him singing on „Get a Life” and „Little by Little” Fritz Kalkbrenner created singles which made their way to radios and DJ sets, becoming a household name on the European electronic music scene.

He headed back to strictly instrumental underground house music which led to the epic “Drown” and gave him a new creative freedom to work again with lots of hardware like oldschool drum machines.

“True Colours”, his sixth studio album, has all the signatures of a classic Fritz Kalkbrenner hit-single, using his trademark electronic sounds and adding additional charming vintage elements and his distinctive and emphatic vocal delivery.
