Andrei Irimia (born on 17 May 1987 in Constanța) is a Romanian composer and pianist based in Bucharest, Romania. Andrei has played piano since the age of 8 and studied a broad variety of musical styles in his early musical endeavours.
The noughties are commonly remembered for an increase in the use of digital recording, associated with the usage of synthesisers, with synthpop music and other electronic genres featuring non-traditional instruments. It was a time when Andrei began working on his own material and started some experimental cross genre productions where he touched upon different styles.
He finally went out to the public with his debut EP “Nuit Minimaliste” in 2019, a work on solo piano, an instrument, which is, according to him, his most immediate tool to materialise ideas and feelings into something that connects with this world.
Andrei Irimia creates hypnotic, haunting and melancholic neo-classical music and his debut material is a tribute to the melancholy and lofty nonchalance of French minimalist music. His delicate melodies soothe the soul in these troubled times and resonate perfectly with the audiences.
Now, with an ever growing profile on all social media, Andrei Irimia has become one of Romania‘s most appreciated contemporary piano composers. His compositions and live performances have deeply touched thousands of Romanian listeners and his work has been featured in several soundtracks (for marketing purposes), media, short films and various corporate projects.
Thibault Solorzano (cello) was born in 1992 in Angers, France. Inspired and guided by his mother, a professional violinist, he began studying the cello at the age of nine and graduated from the Regional Conservatory of Angers in 2010. During that time, he studied with Philippe Muller and took part in masterclasses held by Jérôme Pernoo. In 2013 he started his studies at U.N.M.B in Marin Cazacu and Răzvan Suma's cello class (Licence degree in 2017, Masters degree in 2019) and played with Violoncellissimo. He has collaborated and performed in many cities around the country. He is also a laureate of the competitions "Paul Constantinescu" 2016 - 2nd Prize, 2013 - Special Prize; "Mihail Jora" 2015, 3rd Prize. Since 2021 he has been playing with the Mihail Jora Bacău Philharmonic.
Răzvan Laurențiu Păun (violin) began his violin studies at the age of 7 at the "Tudor Ciortea" Music High School in Brașov, under the guidance of Professor Mireanu Maria. Between 2004 and 2016 he won numerous prizes at national and international competitions, including: First Prize - National Olympiad of Musical Interpretation - Ploiești; First Prize at the "W.A Mozart" competition - Târgoviște; First Prize at the "Dan Cumpătă" competition. He has performed several concerts as soloist and violinist with the Brașov Philharmonic Orchestra and has participated in several international exchanges with the orchestra of Bilbao (Spain). Over the years he had the opportunity to work with famous names in the world of music, such as prof. Laura Modorcea, maestros Florin Ionescu-Galați and Ilarion Ionescu-Galați, maestro Victor Rațiu and Mihail Craioveanu (USA); conductor Peter Stark (professor conductor at the Royal College of Music London and conductor of the European Youth Orchestra); master conductors Tiberiu Soare, Horia Andreescu, Ciprian Țuțu, Steffen Schlandt, Verona Maier Ladislau Csendes. Răzvan Laurențiu Păun is currently a graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest, and a masters student at the same institution.
Abel Chircă is 25 years old and has loved the violin since the age of 6. He studied violin at the Ion Vidu National College of Art in Timișoara, then continued his studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest. He has been a member of the Kamerata Stradivarius Ensemble since 2017. Throughout his career he has played with numerous European orchestras and has collaborated with philharmonic orchestras in Bucharest, Ploiești, Bacău, Brașov, Râmnicu-Vâlcea and Pitești. He is now an employee of the Banatul Philharmonic in Timișoara.
